LIDNUG now using Eventbrite

What you may have noticed, LIDNUG is now using Eventbrite going forward to host our event listings. This is due to many reasons, predominantly some of the neccessary features Eventbrite offers over LinkedIn Events.

What you may have noticed, LIDNUG is now using Eventbrite going forward to host our event listings.

This is due to many reasons, predominantly some of the neccessary features Eventbrite offers over LinkedIn Events.

First and foremost:

1. Eventbrite offers RSS feeds
2. Eventbrite doesn't require you to be a member of LinkedIn or LIDNUG - our events are open to any one.
3. Eventbrite event listings offers "Add to calendar" as a feature
4. Eventbrite supports time zones
5. Eventbrite has a very easy to use developer API

We have long attempted to engage LinkedIn with regards to some of the pain points we have with the LinkedIn Events application, however that's fallen on deaf ears, which is the reason we are now using Eventbrite for all of our event listings and registrations.

Naturally, we will also be listing our events here on the unofficial LIDNUG site, however registrations go through Eventbrite.
